Geeska Freedom Centre (GFC) is being established as the first fully dedidacted human rights monitoring institution, created to address long-standing gaps in credible documentation, protection, and accountability in the Horn of Africa region with specific focus on Somalia and Somaliland.<\/p>

Through constant field research, advocacy, and campaigning with others, GFC seeks to combat human rights violations in Somalia and Somaliland. Our efforts extend to building the capacity of local human rights monitors and researchers, holding perpetrators accountable for their actions, challenging oppressive legislation, supporting affected communities, and securing the release of individuals unjustly imprisoned solely for expressing their opinions.<\/p>

Geeska Freedom Centre (GFC) is an independent non-profit human rights organization and Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to the systematic documentation of violations, the protection of affected communities, and evidence-based legal and policy advocacy, with a focus on marginalized and at-risk communities.
